Another Makeup Blog! YAY!

So I was checking out some of my stats on Blogger here, and first I would like to say thank you SO much for all the people who read my blog! My blog had like four views today, and I haven't posted anything new in like a week. Wonderful followers. =) Aaaand second, I noticed that (in looking at my stats) that my makeup blog had the most views of any of them. That might be a fluke, but I was like yo! I totally forgot about makeup blogs, and they make me super happy. Not to mention they are time consuming, and therefore distract me from what little homework I should actually be doing. Moving right along. =)

As many people who know me will say, I'm addicted to YouTube. Particularly the beauty community. I'm not saying this is good for me or improving me as a person AT ALL, but it's really fun. And I see all these tag videos where people talk about their favorite products, or their most reached for products... and I love them. They're so helpful. So, I think that's what I'm going to do today. I don't need a video just to help a brotha out. =)

So... without further ado(?), here are some of my faaavorite makeup products that I own or have owned in the past. Boom! (Btw, I'm trying to post a picture of the makeup, how it looks, the applicator, blah blah blah AS WELL AS the packaging in case you actually want to take my advice. Yay.)

So, nearly everyday I put on concealer, and this bad boy is my favorite that I've found so far. It is Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer. I have pretty bad skin, so I need a decent one to cover up blemishes and whatnot. (fml) I have it in the lightest color I could find, but I don't think the color name/number is on the actual tube? Whatever. Okay, this is not a good review for concealer. Next! haha

Alright, now this next stuff is the tops. Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner in black. Now I know liquid liner can be a bit scary, but when it's done well I loooove the look. This stuff is jet black, and when you put it on, it doesn't move. It stays just as vibrant all day, hardly fading at all. I don't know exactly what the tip is like? It's kinda stiff? I don't know what you call it, but I think it makes for very easy application as far as liquid liner goes. Word to the wise, keep a good makeup remover on hand, just in case. ;)
Btw, I have yet to find a good pencil liner that I like. I like them to be soft, black, and immobile. baha I don't like smudging... and I've heard that Urban Decay's liner in Zero is awesome, but I don't have the money to be throwing around on expensive stuff. I have Rimmel's soft kohl pencil, but it smudges too much. Any ideas? Oh, I'll throw a picture of that Urban Decay liner... I guess it's called 24/7, cuz it has good staying power. I've only heard good things about it. Sigh.

Alright, honestly... this next guy is only my favorite in it's field (or whatever) because I've been too lazy to look for a better one. White eyeliner, from Wet n Wild's Coloricon line? Yes. I tried Rimmel's white kohl eyeliner because I kinda liked their black liner... and it was great! Until I had to sharpen it. It was too soft, so it just crumbled when you sharpened it. Sheesh. I tossed it. And then I found this one. Who am I to scoff at a 99 cent liner? baha =) It work fairly well, it's just not as soft as I would like.
By the way, I know some of you think I'm crazy... Darcy, what you usin a white liner fo? Yes, I am crazy. But I have a rather good tip. If you use the white liner on you water line instead of black, it opens up your eyes making them look bigger.  It actually gives you the impression that the whites of your eyes are bigger, if that makes sense, so it makes your eyes look more...dolly. =) I also like to use it as a highlighter, just basically coloring on my brow bone underneath my eyebrow and in my inner corner and then just blending with my finger. Very natural and pretty and such. =D

And finally, we're getting to my faaaavorite part. The lips!
I own this particular lipstick... It's Revlon's ColorBurst in Raspberry. This is MY red. =) I think every girl needs (at least) one red lipstick, and this is mine. It's almost a true red, with just a hint of warm tones in it. The lipstick isn't too drying and it feels good, even just by itself, although I usually apply chapstick beforehand. One of my very favorites.

EEK! Okay, this guy is probably one of my favorite lipsticks ever... but I lost him. =( It is the same brand and  line - Revlon ColorBurst.  The shade is Lilac. I didn't expect o like this so much, but it's a color that I wore everyday when I still had it. It gave me a reeeally pretty pinky lip with cool undertones to match my skin. Love love LOVE.
_________________________________________________________________

Next up! Maybelline ColorSensational lipstick in Bit of Berry! I really needed (okay, wanted) a berry lip color and this is the guy I found. I love the way these lipsticks feel, even more than the Revlon ones. They go on very smooth, and I feel like they have a nice sheen to them. The color is especially vivid in this line. Buuuut they have a bit of a a vanilla-y perfume smell? It's kind of weird, but it doesn't bother me. I love this color and I wear it often, applying it lightly so it's more like a stain. Love it!

By the way, I'm pretty sure that these two lines, Revlon ColorBurst and Maybelline ColorSensational, are competing lines. They are pretty comparable, I'd say. Revlon's does not have the funny smell, and I've heard that it has a better shelf life.  Maybelline's has a greater selection of colors, with almost too many to choose from, and is very smooth and moisturizing. Do what you want with the advice I give you. baha =)

Last but not least, my favorite mascara that I have found so far... Maybelline the Colossal Volum Express. Terrible name. Good mascara! haha it gave me a lot of length and a lot of volume quickly without being super duper clumpy. I mean, it's not the perfect mascara for eliminating clumps, but I'm sick of stringy lashes. =P I need to buy this guy again. I miss it. One bad thing though, it has kind of a smell. I don't know why. What's up with that Maybelline, hmm? Stop making smelly stuff! lol but it goes away, so it doesn't bug me as long as the mascara does a good job.

And so for now, those are my favorite products. Yikes. I'm open to suggestions. Give me things to try. If you've ever used any of these products before, let me know! Mini review in the comment section? I'd LOVE that.
Thank you so much for reading. <3

I don't really have anything important to say, but we'll see where it goes.

Blogging just for the sake of blogging is the same thing as talking to a room, not necessarily caring whether or not someone listens.

Does that make sense? I'm betting no. Whatever. I do both things.

It's been a long week, as I've said. Very emotional. And I've had some personal issues I've had to deal with as of late. Hmm... Where do I want to go with this?

Let's start with this. Be straightforward. Don't play mindgames. I hate it when people do that. It messes with people's minds. GRRRR..

This blog is pointless. I'm not saying anymore.
I'm gonna go write in my diary now. xD

Comment about what's been bugging you lately. Be as cryptic as you want. That's what I did.

Random things Darcy has (temporarily?) cut out of her life...

H'okay, so. I gave up pop and aaaaall candy except chocolate for Lent.  I do miss the soda, man. I know it's not good for me... whatever.

Tomorrow I'll have no meat.... Catholics on Fridays in Lent, ya know.

And texting while driving is out. I know, I'm a terrible person. But I'm trying reeeeally hard to cut down on the distractions while driving.  I'm so bad! I do so many stupid things that really can wait. Eating, putting on makeup, talking on the phone, looking at the phone, looking for random things... It all has to stop.

In our school the last couple days, our community put on this major program thingy called Every Fifteen Minutes.  (http://www.every15minutes.com/) On average, every fifteen minutes someone dies in an alcohol related accident.  Scary.  They brought this guy into the school, dressed up as the Grim Reaper.  Every fifteen minutes, over the loudspeaker came the sound of a beating heart, an attempt at keeping it alive, and then a flatline.  Yikes.  The sound was haunting.  Every time the sound went off, the Grim Reaper went into a classroom and collected a student, who was removed temporarily.  Their faces were painted to look like they were dead, and they were not allowed to talk to anyone for the rest of the day.  Sometime after lunch, the principal came over the loudspeaker telling us all to go down by the football field where a bad accident had taken place.  (It was fake, so you aren't worried.)  Two cars, both banged up.  The driver was under the influence and relatively unharmed.  The people in the other vehicle weren't so lucky - Jake died at the scene, Jordan was lifeflighted (?) out on a helicopter, and Josh was pried out of the car using the Jaws of Life.

They took us all into the auditorium, where we saw them (pretending to) resuscitate Josh. His condition went from bad to worse, and his parents had to come in and say goodbye.  Tragic. =(

The next day they held Josh's 'funeral' in the high school auditorium.  Mr. Fog sang the On Eagle's Wings song, whatever it's called.  Our vocal boys sang the Irish Blessing. I cried. A lot. Josh was very obviously still alive since the whole thing was an act, but it felt so real... and it sucked.

The counselors talked to us about all the activities they did with the "Living Dead" and how they had written letters to their parents as if they had died, saying "I died today, and I never got the chance to tell you..." It was all very emotional. I pretty much freaked out the whole day, no big deal.  A lot of the living dead shared their own personal stories, experiences they've had with tragic accidents like the mock accident we had witnessed.... It's heartbreaking. I'm serious.

SO. I don't even remember where I wanted this blog to go, but I've been word-vomiting telling everyone about this event... so it's no surprise that I went off on a tangent in a blog about it.  It really opened my eyes.  They kept on saying things like, 'the choices you make now have consequences that last a lifetime...' blah blah blah. Things like that. Scary things like that.

It just made me see how important it is to live in the moment, not get caught up in the little stuff.  Always let the people you care about know how you feel.  Don't assume that they know because if something ever happened... what would you want to say to them?  Oops. But you're out of time.

It's just... really upsetting. So I've been freaking out, running around, telling all the people in the school I like at all not to die, and that I love them. There have been lots of Darcy hugs to go around, let me tell you.

I don't know where I'm going with this. I'm sorry. It's been an emotional few days, you know.  If anyone wants to talk about this, hit me up. I obviously have a lot to say. Ask me for my phone number, or get ahold of me on Facebook.

What do you guys think? Any of you that go to my school... how were you impacted?

I love you, and don't die. <3

Everybody has somebody.

So, once upon a time, Meghan and I were talking...
This is not unusual. Meghan and I talk a LOT. And sometimes we actually talk about important things. Ha! Who'da thunk it? Teenage girls. Thinking. Bah.

Anyway. She may or may not have had this thought originally, but I'm the blogger, ha HA!

She said that every single person in the world has a friend and is a friend.  That means that each and every person must have some redeemable qualities, reasons for people to like him or her. And yet, there are so many people we don't like. You know it's true. Count 'em. Count the people you don't like. Now, think about those people. They probably have friends, eh? What do their friends see in them? Did you think about that? I know I usually don't. We ALL have people we don't like, and we don't usually stop to take the time to think about the reasons other people are friends with them.

This just makes me think of some stories... First one that popped into my head... Forgive me, this may not be perfectly accurate. Pride and Prejudice.  ***SPOILER ALERT***  Everyone, including Elizabeth Bennett, hates Mr. Darcy. He's arrogant, proud, stiff, lame, and seriously disagreeable. (haha I love old English sounding stuff. Oh dear. That made me sound dumb. MOVING RIGHT ALONG.) There are only a few people who know the guy that say good things about him, but those who do really stick to their guns. As it turns out, Mr. Darcy was a wonderful person, doing a lot of charity on the low, and apparently struggling with some seriously confusing feelings for Lizzy. baha. Moral of the story! This guy, who seems to be a major ass, was actually a wonderful person. Hmmm. Intersante, no?

Okay, now I have a not so cool reference. One that isn't, ya know, famous literature. It's just a comedy that I happen to seriously enjoy from this century. =) Fired Up! ***ANOTHER SPOILER ALERT*** It's a cheerleading movie... Yes, hate if you please. However! This particular movie makes fun of the cheerleaders, sort of. It's hilarious, clever, blah blah blah. Go watch it. Whatever. Now let me ruin a mini part of it for you. The blonde guy, I don't remember what his name is, spends the whooooole time trying to hook up with lots of random cheerleaders at cheer camp.  Throughout the movie, he keeps on writing in his own little black book. You think that he's writing girls' numbers and/or bad pickup lines. At the end, however, you find out that the kid has been writing poetry in it the whole time. Good poetry that he doesn't want anyone to know about. Ha!

Okay... I'm straying for from the original point.

THE POINT IS.... people are more than what they seem, h'okay?
When you look it someone, don't always go with your original judgement of that person.
Now, I'm not saying to completely ignore your gut. That's stupid. haha
I'm just saying... don't write someone off so quickly. Why do their friends love them so much? We all have our really bad AND really good points. I think it'll make you (or people in general) appreciate everyone around you for who they really are.

Tis just a thought. Take it or leave it. Comment, tell me what you think.
Tell me if I'm stupid, or if I make legitimate points. Pwease.
Byyyyyye. <3
